1. Was ist unser Motiv ? Wir arbeiten an einem historischen Abriss des Luft- verkehrs auf den Berliner Flughäfen. Unser Hauptanliegen ist es, eine Datenbank über alle Fluggesellschaften mit Hintergrundinformationen und Fotos zu erstellen. 2. Warum gibt es für jeden Flughafen eine Datenbank ? Die Berliner Flughäfen sind aus historischer Sicht mit ihren ganz unterschiedlichen Zweckbestimmungen aufgewachsen. Allein die gesellschaftliche Trennung, durch den damaligen Vier-Mächte-Status der Stadt, macht eine separate Betrachtung unabdingbar. 3. Warum gibt es keine aktuellen Fotos zu sehen ? Da wir alle mit Kodak K64 Dia-Filmen fotografieren und dieser bei der Entwicklung relativ viel Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, können wir im Gegensatz zu einer Digitalkamera nicht diese Aktualität bieten. In unserer Link-Sammlung gibt es aber weitere Sites, die aktuelle Fotos von den Berliner Flughäfen bieten. 4. In der Historie zu stöbern mag ja gut sein, aber gibt es denn hier auch aktuelle Infos ? Wir sind eine Gruppe von Luftfahrtinteressierten und Spottern aus Berlin und Brandenburg. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts and spotters from Berlin and Brandenburg.
Wie alles anfing:	How it all begun:
Im April 1996 wurde der Name Planeboys auf dem "Spotterhügel" in Tegel von den Gründungsmitgliedern Anthony Elliott, Michael Lindhof, Karsten Madrian, Andreas Möller, Sven Pipjorke und Jörg Weissenstein ins Leben gerufen. Vorher hatte man sich schon seit mehreren Jahren regelmässig in grosser Runde getroffen. Es wurde geplant, unter diesem Namen ein Magazin zu veröffentlichen, welches Informationen für die Berliner Spotter und Fotos zum Inhalt haben sollte. Unter dem Motto "Alles was Spottern Spass macht" erschien dann das erste Heft bereits im Mai 1996. Jedoch wurde uns allen schnell bewusst, dass der Arbeitsaufwand zur Erstellung nicht unerheblich war und so sollte das letzte Heft Nr.13 im Juli 1997 erscheinen. Zum Ende des Jahres 2002 wurde dann eine neue Idee geboren, wobei man nun die Popularität des Internet nutzen konnte. Nach reichlich Vorarbeit ist diese Website seit 2003 online und über deren Ziele kann man sich weiter unten auf dieser Seite informieren.	In April 1996 the Planeboys were founded by the incorporators Anthony Elliott, Michael Lindhof, Karsten Madrian, Andreas Möller, Sven Pipjorke and Jörg Weissenstein at the so called "Spotterhill" near the fence at the airport Tegel. Previously, they and other friends already came together in a big round regularly since many years. It was planned to publish a magazine under this name, which will have information for the Berlin spotters and photos included. Under the slogan "Everything for the spotters to have fun" the first issue already appeared in May 1996 then. However all of us became quickly conscious, that the labor was not insignificant to the preparation and so it should happen that the last magazine No.13 came out in July 1997. A new idea was born at the end of 2002, but now the more popular internet was the platform that we wanted to use. After plentiful groundwork this website is now online since mid 2003 and you can inform yourself about our intentions just below here on this page.
