Mit der Umstrukturierung des chinesischen Luftverkehrs wurde die CAAC in Air China umbenannt und führte zunächst die Linienflüge zwischen Peking und Berlin weiter durch. Jedoch wurden diese dann Mitte 1998 wegen mangelnder Auslastung eingestellt.

With the restructuring of the Chinese air-traffic, the CAAC was renamed to Air China and the airline continued
the scheduled flights between Peking and Berlin. However these flights were cancelled then in the middle of 1998, because of lacking utilization.
