AVIACO

  • Zwischen Mai 1979 und November 1980 fanden einige Fracht-Charterflüge statt. Die Erstlandung dieser Airline wurde hierbei von einer DC-8-54F (EC-CQM) am 19. Mai 1979 durchgeführt.

  • Beim Einflug in den Luftraum von Berlin kam es am 05. Juni 1980 fast zu einem Eklat, als der Pilot der DC-8-55F (EC-DEM) vom Kontrollturm in SXF eine Landeerlaubnis für THF verlangte. Diese wurde ihm verweigert und nach längerer Diskussion landete er schliesslich in SXF. Dorthin sollte er aber eigentlich laut Flugauftrag auch fliegen. Noch im selben Jahr beantragte die AVIACO dann Landerechte für TXL bei den alliierten Luftfahrtattachès, welche diese jedoch ablehnten.

  • In between May 1979 and November 1980, some freight charter flights were operated and the first airline visit on May 05th. 1979 with a Douglas DC 8-55F (EC-CQM) took place.

  • During the approach into the airspace of Berlin on June 05th. 1980 there just happened an misunderstanding, as the pilot of a DC-8-55F (EC-DEM) demanded from the control tower in SXF a landing permission for THF. This was refused to him and after longer and difficult discussion he finally landed in SXF. However, there he actually should also fly according to his flight order. Still in the same year AVIACO then applied for landing rights for TXL to the allied aviation attachès, but they refused the request.
