Condor Flugdienst

Die Erstlandung der Condor auf dem Flughafen Berlin/SXF fand am 01. November 1990 mit der Boeing 757-200 (D-ABNE) statt. Kurz zuvor war die geplante Gründung einer gemeinsamen Charterfluggesellschaft unter dem Namen InterCondor durch die Lufthansa und INTERFLUG gescheitert.

Ab diesem Zeitpunkt wurde dann regelmässig im Feriencharter ab diesem Berliner Flughafen geflogen.

Mit dem Einstieg des Reiseunternehmens Thomas Cook erfolgte ab 2002 auch die Umbennung in Thomas Cook Airline, was jedoch keinen Anklang fand und seit dem Jahr 2004 prangt nun auf den Maschinen wieder der bekannte Name.

The first landing of Condor at the airport Berlin/SXF took place on November 01st. 1990 with a Boeing 757-200 (D-ABNE). Shortly before the plan from Lufthansa and INTERFLUG had failed, to establish a common charter airline called InterCondor.

From this time, a regular holiday charterwork was operated from this Berlin airport.

With the entry of the tour operator Thomas Cook in 2002, the airline was also renamed into Thomas Cook Airline. However, this name meet no approval and so, since the year 2004, the well known name is to be seen again on the planes.
