KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines

Der erste Flug der KLM nach Berlin/SXF fand bereits am 18. Februar 1950 mit einer DC-3 statt. Es handelte sich dabei um einen von vielen weiteren Sonderflügen im Zusammenhang mit der Leipziger Messe.

Als erste westeuropäische Fluggesellschaft nahm die KLM dann ab dem 15. Mai 1969 einen Liniendienst nach Ost-Berlin auf. Darüber hinaus wurden in den nachfolgenden Jahren zahlreiche Fracht- und Charterflüge nach SXF durchgeführt. So auch am 03. März 1970, an dem gleich neun Maschinen in Schönefeld mit holländischen Fussballfans eintrafen.

In Laufe des Jahres 1983 wurde der Liniendienst nach Berlin von der Tochtergesellschaft NLM Cityhopper übernommen.

The very first flight of KLM to Berlin/SXF took already place on February 18th. 1950 and was operated with a DC-3. This was a special charter in context to the Leipzig Trade Fair, with more to follow during subsequent years.

As the first West European airline KLM was adding East Berlin into their network with a first flight on May 15th. 1969. Additionally, several cargo flights and charter work was done to SXF. So even on March 03rd. 1970, as on this day just nine planes from the fleet arrived at the same time with lots of dutch football fans on board.

During the year of 1983 the line service to Berlin/SXF was then transferred to the subsidiary NLM Cityhopper.
