Volar Airlines

Nach der Umbenennung der LTE in Volar Airlines, erfolgte mit der Landung eines A321-200 (EC-ILG) am 18. Februar 2003 der Erstbesuch unter dem neuen Namen auf einem Charterflug aus Porto/OPO.

Auf Grund der Pleite der italienischen Volare Airlines und der daraus resultierenden möglichen Namensverwechselung, kehrte man jedoch schon zum Ende des Jahres 2004 zum altbekannten Namen LTE zurück.

After the renaming of LTE into Volar Airlines, the first arrival under the new brand at Berlin/SXF was operated on February 18th. 2003 with an A321-200 (EC-ILG) on a charter flight from Porto/OPO.

Shortly after the bankruptcy of Volare Airlines from Italy and the possible name confusion as a result from it, the airline already reverted back again by the end of the year 2004 to the well known name LTE.
