Vom 15. bis 21. Juni 1992 fand die erste Internationale Luftfahrt Ausstellung
(ILA) in Berlin/Schönefeld statt.
From June 15th. until 21st. 1992, the first International
Aviation Exhibition (ILA) took place at Berlin/Schönefeld.
With the decision to postpone from Hannover to Berlin, the organizers
hoped themselves a bigger resonance
and from the historic view, an old tradition came back to Berlin.
Because in 1928 already, the first ILA was opened in Berlin and further
should follow until the World War II Europe laid
down to rubble and ashes.
From the point of view of an civil airline enthusiast, the ILA 1992 was probably
one of the best shows by far.
All european aviation companies gave themselves the honor and something
for the spotter much more important,
their airplanes flown in for the show and display.
Only the " aviation-giant " Boeing did itself rare on this ILA and all
following exhibitions, which makes it simply for Airbus Industries
to move themselves into the best light for the public and the businessmen.
There is no Boeing 747 or 777 who will ever obstruct the free view on the
Airbus 340.
The photos below opens again in own windows and should give a representative
overview over the most important airplanes that were displayed.
