Die Billigfluggesellschaft EasyJet hat, mit der Einrichtung eines Drehkreuzes in SXF im April 2004, dem Flughafen einen ungeahnten Boom an Fluggästen beschert und damit diesen aus dem "Dornröschenschlaf" geweckt.

This is a normal scene now on every morning at this airport, with which altogether eight A319s wait for its first service of the day.
With the opening of a base at SXF in April 2004, the low cost airline EasyJet has given the airport a boom of passengers after a long time of considerable loss of attraction.
